"Calculating the ROI of content management: a case study"

Audience: Executive and mid-management considering enterprise content management Abstract: As we increasingly look to justify workflow changes and technology implementations, it is imperative to learn the tools to allow us to calculate the ROI of existing and proposed processes. ROI calculations are highly situational, and the calculations need to reflect corporate initiatives and address management concerns. Too often, the analysts box in the requirements to a single content type or department--such as technical documentation--and miss related opportunities to gain benefits from a proposed expenditure. This session will discuss typical metrics that should gathered from existing processes, identifying soft or hidden requirements, and how to ensure the metrics captured are meaningful.
